CANVAS

This group of paintings born in my time spent in Germany (from 2002 till 2024) is a level up process to a new chapter of that journey. “Overlayland”. Simultaneously to my living life I decided to develop my painting a sense of completeness, at least for the time begin, made of the process of knowledges I acquired while experiencing it, therefore you will see in these paintings an overlay of levels of colours and shapes, combining each other in order to become just one and unique level apparently. “Overlayland” is my openness which had been overlaid by my new self-confidence. Therefore a process of putting something on top of something else. I am my own land made by levels, overlaid by sights, languages, voices, influences. Through ongoing development, this process has brought my painting to its current state.
