Self-portrait, at home in Haarlemmer Houttuinen, Amsterdam.
I am part of a generation of visual artists who have never made verbal communication as a strong point, but Visual Art as a way of expressing one's subjective feeling state.
There are many gaps in our understanding of what happened. My works process is regarding the life’s events gaps, and not its fillings. Among the past and the future, the known and the unknown. I like to understand the process of leading to the conclusion. What leads people to express themselves in their own way, what’s their background and what’s behind. The profound essence of the cause. I’ve encountered mysterious occurrences throughout my life, often without receiving any explanations, which has led me to arrive at this conclusion through contemplation. My artistic process is autobiographical, aiming to strike a harmonious balance within myself and who observes it. It has been a long journey to cope with the unknown often living in from the wrong circle.
The turning point towards art took place in an affluent residential area known for its seafood restaurants and classy cocktail bars, small beaches dot the coastline, and terraces which offer a dreamy views of the Gulf of Naples and the Vesuvius, it’s Posillipo a neighborhood of Naples, Italy. We were lucky to spend our summer times in a house where the bedroom view was the Vesuvius and the sea indeed, the house had a private access to the beach. In that house there was one room full of paintings, from the bottom to the top of the walls, in a very tall ceiling house from the 1800, typical of the city, I felt goosebumps I felt in another dimension. Living surrounded by art every single day of those summers time was incredible. Since then art was part of my life. Unforgettable.

moonmambo is a multidisciplinary creative whose practice has evolved over more than eighteen years, moving fluidly between graphic design, fashion, illustration, visual art, and advertising. She has collaborated with international branding and advertising agencies, while nurturing independent artistic projects shaped by curiosity and intuition. She was born by the sea, in the shadow of Vesuvius, where salt, fire, and sunlight become part of the landscape, and perhaps of the imagination. Since then, she has made homes across Europe, living in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Germany, collecting places, perspectives, and stories along the way.
She moves between ideas and making, balancing instinct with analysis, precision with play. Her hands build what her mind imagines, while her heart keeps both grounded in humanity. She is an influencer in the oldest sense of the word: not through algorithms or screens, but through meaningful encounters, shared experiences, and the quiet power of creativity.
